Rosemarie has held a variety of positions supporting the needs of seniors in Santa Barbara County since 1981.  Her dedication and love of seniors began early on with the desire to be with her grandmother every opportunity possible.  She volunteered as a Candy Striper at Homestead Hospital while attending Jr. High school and following her move from the east coast to Santa Barbara, she has held positions as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Activities Director, Social Service Designee, Administrative Assistant and Director of Assisted Living.  All of the diverse responsibilities and experiences from skilled nursing, sub-acute, adult day programs and specialized care for seniors challenged with dementia and assisted living have afforded Rosemarie opportunities to develop innovative programs over the years and brought those experiences as the Administrator of Heritage House while maintaining the RCFE Administrator Certification.

 

Rosemarie was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and made Santa Barbara her home in 1980.  She is the eldest of 2 sisters and a brother.  Although Pittsburgh is her birthplace, she is grateful every day for the opportunity to reside in beautiful Santa Barbara.

 

Rosemarie is the proud mother of a son and daughter who have blessed her with 5 grandsons, 3 granddaughters’ and 3 great grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, music, dancing, reading and a balance of spending time with family, friends and precious alone time!

 

Rosemarie describes her work at Heritage House as a ministry and a privilege to be a part of such a special community. She is passionate about being in a position to make a positive difference, dedicating to being available for residents, staff and family.
