Harlyn was born in Goleta, CA in 1970. He graduated from Santa Barbara High School before leaving to travel through Europe on a long trip with a backpack visiting numerous countries on an epic adventure.

 

Living in Mill Valley Harlyn lived with a family and worked as there Au Pair. With an interest in child development he moved to San Francisco and worked with several different preschools.

 

Moving back to Santa Barbara, Harlyn worked in retail sales, aviation, Cottage Hospital and in the construction trade including restoration after the Montecito mud slide. He served as a volunteer with many community organizations as well.

 

Harlyn has also worked as a crew member in yacht transportation with his father and has crossed the Pacific and sailed in many exotic destinations.

 

He currently lives in the Santa Barbara foothills enjoying the local trails for hiking, roads for biking and surfing at the beach. He lives with his wife and their pets Luca and Willie.
