The goal of our assisted living program is to remove many of the responsibilities that become more onerous as a person ages. Basic services in our assisted living program range from housekeeping and customized meals, to planned transportation and activities throughout the day. More individualized assistance with medication management, personal hygiene, memory prompting, and special meals are available as requested or needed. Services are tailored to suit the requirements of each client and are staggered into three levels of care. Ongoing assessments by our staff and referred physicians keep family abreast of their loved one's progress. Periodic assessments also allow us to modify a resident's plan of services as needed, or as requested.
HERITAGE HOUSE-AN ASSISTED LIVING COMMUNITY is an assisted living facility. Assisted living facilities are an apartment-style habitat designed to focus on providing assistance with daily living activities. They provide a higher level of service for the elderly which can include preparing meals, housekeeping, medication assistance, laundry, and also do regular check-in's on the residents. Basically, they are designed to bridge the gap between independent living and nursing home facilities. When thinking about how to pay for care, assisted living facilities are generally less expensive than nursing homes, if assisted living is a viable option for your loved one.
Also, HERITAGE HOUSE-AN ASSISTED LIVING COMMUNITY facility provides Alzheimer's care. This means it has special safeguards for wandering seniors, and caregivers are trained in handling dementia behaviors.

OUR APPROACH TO COVID-19
Heritage House is very pleased to announce that we have purchased an R-Zero UV light machine (rzero.com).
This is new product to the market place and promises hospital grade surface and air disinfection from up to 5,000 ft.
It is placed in a room for roughly seven minutes and eradicates viruses like COVID, MRSA and VRE. We plan to use in all common areas of Heritage House, resident rooms, our kitchen and our laundry areas as a means to buttress the protection protocols we already have in place for COVID.
We take the health of our residents and our beloved staff seriously. We have great hopes that it will help us to break the infection chain on a variety of virus related contagions going forward.
